Dr. Vodder Method MLD – Manual Lymphatic Drainage & Detox
MLD is a very light skin manipulation that improves the function of the lymphatic system throughout the body. In the 1930s the techniques of MLD were first introduced by Dr. Emil Vodder, PhD.
MLD for detox massage is performed on healthy individuals to enhance their health and support the removal of toxins from their bodies. This technique helps to move fluids through the body by stimulating the Lymphatic System. The Lymphatic System is the body’s natural filtering and cleansing system that works in parallel with the venous portion of the circulatory system. When these systems work in unison, fluid retentions is minimise and blood “cleansing” is optimized.
MLD is beneficial for many health conditions such detoxification from Lyme’s Disease and can support the removal of residual medications such as steroid (Prednisone), various antibiotics, antidepressant and other form the after the course of treatment has concluded. It’s also very effective on the Weight Loss Treatments.

|DURATION||As per requirement|
|PRICE||As per requirement|
MLD is becoming widely recognized in the U.K. as a treatment for many pathologies including post surgical swelling, post traumatic edema (e.g., sports injuries), migraine headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia.
For surgery including, but not limited to cataract removal, orthopaedic surgery for shoulder repair, hip replacement, knee replacement and everything in between, a myriad of plastic surgery procedures such as liposuction, rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, buttock and breast augmentation, recovery time and discomfort can be significantly reduced by MLD performed by a well trained therapist.
MLD helps the body to return to normal functioning more quickly by moving “extra” fluid through the body and helping to soften fibrotic or hardened tissue by stimulating the Lymphatic System.
Sometime surgery interrupts or even damages normal vascular (arteries, veins, lymphatic vessels) structure which are responsible for moving fluids.
MLD assists the body in moving fluid in a normal pattern and also in finding alternative pathways.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Deep Tissue Massage employs some of the same strokes as Swedish massage and also include compression (deep finger pressure on the contracted areas) applied with slower movement concentrating on areas of tension and pain. This style aims to release acute and chronic patterns of tension in targeted muscles by utilizing repetition of various strokes. Techniques used may also include deep friction either following along or stroking across the fibres of the muscles, tendons and fascia to break up adhesions and scar tissue and trigger – point work in which deep, static finger pressure is applied to small knots of muscle to effect their release. Deep Tissue massage is especially helpful for chronic muscle tension and extremely contracted areas such as with stiff neck and shoulders, and mid and low back pain and tightness.
Contrary to popular though, Deep Tissue Massage does not necessarily have to hurt. The slow repetition of strokes, working progressively deeper into the tissue can be both pain free and effective in relieving tension. However, because Deep Tissue Massage usually focused on specific, already tense areas of the body some soreness may result during or shortly following the massage. This soreness generally subsides 48 hours. When this type of massage is performed correctly you can experience significant relief in tense muscles almost immediately or within 24 to 48 hours. This style of massage is a favourite among athletically and physically active people who seek immediate relief from muscular tension and pain so as to maintain their active lifestyles.
Myofascial release is a style of massage focusing on the connective tissue, or fascia, of the body. Daily stresses, exercise and general life style “stuff” means that there are times when regular massage just can’t get deep enough to break down the tension.
Myofascial release is a very effective hands-on technique that provides sustained pressure into restrictions that are sometimes created in the myofascia. It is used to eliminate pain and restore motion to the body. It is a therapy used to treat a wide variety of soft tissue complains including but not limited to back strain and chronic back pain as well as fibromyalgia and sciatica.
